GET AN EDGE
My original goal was to create a method for efficiently identifying a chart’s trading opportunities. In achieving it, I created a teachable consistent rule set that identifies highly reliable outcomes. And I share it with complete transparency. So, more than knowing what’s next, you’ll also know why. You’ll begin to anticipate price action, and become more confident in your trading. Soon you’ll intuitively discard noise that was previously distracting, and eventually you’ll exploit it.
Must you learn the methodology to use it? Of course not. Many subscribers prefer just to see the signals, targets and stops. But if you want, you can learn my unique analytical concepts, or concepts applied uniquely… like “biases,” “timing windows,” “unfinished business,” situational Fibonacci relationships, and proprietary patterns and indicators. The methodology efficiently produces a robust forecast of any chart – indexes, equities, FX and futures — expressed in consistent terms of Technical Analysis, Pattern Analysis, Market Timing and Price Forecasts.
I primarily apply my methodology to analyzing S&Ps (ES) and several other high-profile futures (GC, CL, SI, NG, ZB, etc.). My real-time “chaRTroom” generates several round-turn candidates daily, each with potential targets of multiple points and at least a 2:1 reward-to-risk ratio. Subscribers are welcome to request instant chart analysis for an opinion that identifies specific actionable parameters of any market or stock. I walk you through it all, so you can learn to think like an algorithm…

I began publishing a daily market commentary on the web in 1995 as one of the original technical analysis web sites. In fact, I was the first in that category to be listed on Yahoo. Through AvidTrader.com I introduced thousands of visitors to charting and technical analysis. AvidTrader grew to produce several trading advisory web publications applying my proprietary methodologies to analyzing different asset classes. Barron’s Magazine awarded us all Four Stars for editorial content, and later “Best of the Web,” before the site sold in 2008.
I launched the web’s first free-access trader’s chatroom in 1996 where newcomers and experts from around the world mingled throughout the trading day. Through the chat forum, I produced and hosted an ongoing series of live interviews with many well-known chartists and technicians. My guests included John Bollinger who created Bollinger Bands, Gerald Appel, creator of MACD, Marc Chaikin who created the original Money Flow indicator, George Lane, creator of the Stochastic indicator, and Tom DeMark who is perhaps best known by his TD Sequential indicator. Other notable, generous interviewees were John Murphy, Bill Williams, Peter Eliades, Linda Raschke, Van Tharp, Glenn Neely and Arch Crawford.
As a Contributing Editor for optionMONSTER, I produced the Index Trader blog, providing intraday timing signals and targets in S&Ps and other futures markets. I publish my analysis throughout each trading session at IfThenSignals.com, where I also host a live “charting room” webinar to graphically depict my patterns, setups and parameters live in real-time.
My analysis has been published or quoted in MarketWatch, CNBC, Minyanville, The New York Times, Trader Daily, OptionMONSTER, Marketfy, StreetInsider, Futures Magazine, and Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities, among others. I am a member of several technical analysis organizations globally, including the Market Technicians Association where I am a Level 3 CMT candidate. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Park University in Business Administration and reside in the Kansas City area.
